Deans Art is committed to providing you with the highest levels of customer service. This includes protecting your privacy. Deans Art is aware of the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988, and National Privacy Principles (extracted from the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000). which deals with protection of your personal information.

Your personal information
Personal information held by Deans Art may include your name, date of birth, current and previous addresses, telephone/mobile phone number, email address, bank account or credit card details, and occupation. Industry standard document handling safeguards are taken, and digital information is held under password protection, and is accessed only in the proper course of business. Once no longer required for the purpose it is obtained or under document retention regulations this information is destroyed

Care will be taken to protect all information submitted or held, however technical limitations prevent us from being able to offer an absolute assurance in this regard.

How we collect personal information
Deans Art collects personal information directly from you, when you provide information by phone or in application forms, or when you submit your personal details through the Deans Art web site (e.g. during Deans Art Loyalty Club registration or Contact form or the Gallery)

If you choose to post information or leave feedback, we reserve the right to collect and store such information that may assist our service to customers.

At this early stage we are unable to offer the added benefit of email encryption, and submission of personal details via email does entail some risk of interception. For applicants / customers unwilling to post such information online we offer document downloads which we ask be completed and mailed to the address on the form. [It is intended that in coming months we will be in a position to offer encryption options for added email protection].

Note: If you are aged under 18 years you should not submit personal information, and may only use this site with and under the supervision of your parents or guardians.

How we use your personal information
Your personal information may be used to:

  • gain an understanding of your art material needs in order for Deans Art to provide you with a better service.

Your personal information is collected so that Deans Art can promote and market its services to you (including by way of direct mail, and email) with your permission. Deans Art does this to keep you informed of its products, services and special offers. If you do not wish Deans Art to promote and market its products, services and special offers to you, please call 9419 6633 or email contactus@deansart.com.au with "unsubscribe" in the subject details and your full name.

In relation to marketing and promotional material sent via email, Deans Art will send such material only if you elect to receive it by joining our mailing list through this website, our customer loyalty club or if it is provided in response to your request. Should you no longer wish to receive such information an option to unsubscribe is provided in order that your details be removed from future mailing lists.

Deans Art will not disclose your information to any other person or organisation other than where required by law.
