Deans Art Frequently Asked Questions

Please note Deans Art's Stores, Office and Warehouse will be closed Friday 26 Jan 2024 for the Public Holiday in Victoria. Our stores reopen as normal from 10am Saturday 27 Jan 2024. Online orders placed over the holidays will be sent out when our Office & Warehouse reopens from 9am Monday 29 Jan 2024. 



 

Where is Deans Art located?

We have 3 retail stores in Melbourne, Victoria. Located in Preston, Brunswick and Collingwood. Please visit our Store Locations page for details.

 

What happens if a product is out of stock on my order?

We update the site and stock levels as often as possible. However, on occasion a product may sell out during the period between placing and dispatching your order and may be temporarily unavailable.

In this situation we will contact you to let you know when the item will be available (in most cases within 1-2 weeks) or to offer an alternative or credit/refund.

 

What happens if I have purchased an incorrect item?

Before making a purchase with Deans Art, please check our Returns Policy

Deans Art is happy to offer an online or instore credit for your incorrect purchase. Please return your items to our PRESTON store and our team will be happy to assist. 

If returning an online order, postage costs are the responsibility of the customers. We do not offer free returns at this time. 

 

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

Our warehouse team take great care in packaging your items but damage can happen during delivery.

If you have received a damaged item, please take photos of the box and any damage it has sustained. And also clear photos of the damage to your product. Send your order number and contact details to our Head Office via email and our team will be happy to help. 

Without proof of damage a claim can not be made with the courier company, please ensure all details are sent through in a timely manner or we will be unable to assist. 

 

Does Deans Art sell gift vouchers?

Purchase physical vouchers instore WHILE STOCKS LAST. Please call your closest store to check stock levels before visiting. 

Purchase electronic e-voucher's online, sent straight to your email address they're quick and easy. Please allow up to 30minutes for email to be sent.

I can't find a product, do you stock it?

We're uploading every item online as quickly as possible but if you can't find your favourite product please fill out a contact form and we'll do our best to assist. 

Include as much detail as you can ie. stock code if you have one, colour, brand, size and we'll check our instore stock and supplier catalogues. 

If your item is a special order you may be required to provide a deposit and order minimums may apply. Please allow 3-6 weeks for special order items to arrive instore. 

 

Is Deans Art Hiring or looking for staff?

Job positions become available from time to time, we will provide notice of vacancies online and via our social media accounts.  During hiring periods you're welcome to email a cover letter and CV to our Head Office for consideration. 

Providing a cover letter with your availability and introducing yourself is always welcome and appreciated by our office staff. 

We will keep your details on file and should a suitable role become vacant our team will be in touch.

Please note email is always preferred over paper copies. but you're welcome to speak with staff instore and forward your email to the store manager. 

Does Deans Art offer discounts?

Yes, we offer an instore 10% discount to all students upon presentation of their current valid student card. The same applies to Art Society members and certain other organisations with an agreed arrangement with Deans Art.  

For large or bulk orders Deans Art may offer a discount. Please get in touch with your details and order requirements by completing a Contact Form. Include your full name, contact details and the product code and amount you require. 

Deans Art online orders accrue loyalty points, please sign up to our newsletter to be notified of the Loyalty program launch very soon! 

 

Does Deans Art offer sponsorship or donations?

Deans Art always tries to make a difference with sponsorship. If you require sponsorship for an event please email sales@deansart.com.au. You must provide your full name, contact details, the organisation you represent and your prefered Deans Art location. 

If you are an exisiting schools customers please get in touch with your School Sales Representative in regards to end of year prizes.

Bank Deposit Details

Deans Art is happy to offer direct bank deposit as an option for payment. Please create a quote for your requested items and forward to sales@deansart.com.au with a short email with your details and any dates you require the goods for. 

Our sales team will confirm the items are instock and provide an updated FINAL quote. Please note your order will only be dispatched once payment has been received and confirmed by our accounts team, please allow time for this to happen.
