From mid 2013 we accept online orders 24hrs/7days per week. We partner with NAB to offer the practical and secure online shopping experience our customers expect. 

We hope you will find this service to your liking but welcome suggestions to further improve our service. If online is not for you, we continue to offer the highest level of customer service in the traditional way from our three ‘bricks and mortar’ stores.

Deans Art aims to satisfy all of our customers at all times. We can offer a credit note or exchange on goods returned with a valid receipt. Further details of our refund and returns policy can be downloaded here.

When necessary refunds will be processed in 2 -3 business days.

Please note refunds will be issued using the same account or card used in the original transaction. 

Refunds onto cards will need to be processed via our shop. We will call you to obtain card details and process the refund instore. It can take from 3 - 5 days for the funds to appear in your account depending on your bank.

The refund is credited in the same currency as the original payment. The same conversion rate is used as appropriate.

In the rare instance you have received a faulty or damaged item please contact our Head Office in Preston immediately so we can work towards a resolution. 


Deans Art reserves the right to cancel and refund or credit and order; terminate service; remove or edit contents; at any time before delivery and for whatever reason, an order that it has previously accepted. Deans Art may do this for example but without limitation where:

  • Deans Art suppliers are unable to supply Goods that they had previously promised to supply
  • Your order is flagged by our security systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud 
  • Your billing or shipping information is not correct
  • Due to an event outside of our control such as storms, fire, flood, earthquake, power failure, strike or failure of computer systems. 

​In the rare instance of a mistake on our website whihc was not discovered prior to an order being accepted involving pricing, a product description or image Deans Art reserves the right to cancel the order. 

Some goods may be out of stock or are unavaliable and we may not be able to fulfil all or part of your order. We will notify you via email or phone and organise a credit, exchange or refund the price paid for the goods impacted. 

We may withdraw or suspend from sale any good displayed on the website, temporarily or permanently at any time and without notice. Deans Art will not be liable to you for the loss you or any third party suffer as a result of the withdrawal or suspension of sale of a particular good.

Yes, we offer an instore 10% discount to all students upon presentation of their current student card. The same applies to Art Society members and certain other organizations with an agreed arrangement with Deans Art. Members of the Deans Art Club also receive special offers and discounts, exclusive to participants in our customer loyalty programme.

When applying for a Schools Account, please select customer group as School Customers. As this will be a school body, the school ABN number and other details relevant to your school will need to be filled in to apply for School Pricing.

Should you like to see our products and colour swatches in real life you can visit one of our four stores around Melbourne where our friendly and experienced staff will be happy to help you find the right product for your next project.

Due to differences in device screen settings and the limitations of online images to real world products and swatches there may be variations in what you seen on screen and what your product looks like in real life.

Deans Art will not be responsible for any colour and design differences that are not factory faults. By purchasing items online you agree to accept the small that there may and will be variations to colour and design when you receive your item.

You may receive a product with slightly different packaging to what is shown online. This is due to suppliers changing the look of the boxed item for marketing purposes, and does not alter the product in any way.
