Etching Press Wool Blanket 6mm 500x900mm

Etching Press Wool Blankets are used on presses when printing intaglio plates. They can be used in combination to help transfer the ink from the plate tot he dampened paper. Common blanket combinations include a 3mm blanket paired with a 6mm blanket. This blanket would traditionally go next to the roller. It is a hard wearing blanket being the thickest option. It is used in conjunction with a Catcher and Cushion blanket or as a great option when using thick collograph plates.

When using multiple blankets together the thinnest blanket is placed closest to the plate and the thickets closest to the top roller of the press. These beautiful artists quality blankets can be used with most etching presses and are suitable for use in the studio, classroom or home.
