How Ideas Are Born: Illustrators on Creative Processes

The book features twenty-seven illustrators from twelve countries, presented through two hundred and seventy mesmerizing images and one hundred and ten earlier sketches from personal notebooks. These carefully compiled and selected images evoke wild childlike wonder, stir emotions, offer suggestions, and showcase virtuosity.

The featured illustrators reveal their sketchbooks, invite you into their studios, and share glimpses of their creative processes. Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of illustration styles, techniques, and languages. Whether you approach the book as a connoisseur, savouring each artist’s reflections and deciphering the hidden hints in their sketchbooks, or as a wide-eyed child, randomly flipping through pages and allowing inspiration to guide you, prepare to be dazzled as you witness the magic of illustration come to life before your eyes.
