Northcote Pottery Terracotta Clay 10kg

Northcote Pottery Terracotta clay is often used for throwing large commercial garden pots and it's an excellent caly for school use, modelling sculptural busts or making garden ornaments. A strong, gutsy clay it's suitable for hand building or throwing. It's excellent for burnishing with good green strength and smooth enough for throwing. 

This terracotta clay fires to a salmon pink but can also be a rich orange depending on the firing temperature. It can be fired with a suitable earthenware glaze to 1100ºC and must be kiln fired.
