Super Sculpey Oven Bake Clay 454g Beige

Super Sculpey is an oven bake polymer clay that's used to make figures or doll parts but also works well for other arts and crafts projects, prototype designs and sculptural tasks. Once backed it can also be sanded, drilled, carved and then painted with water based acrylic paints. It's a popular product for doll making as the beige tone once baked has a translucent quality often capturing a skin like finish. Sculpey clay requires conditioning before it can be used, knead the clay to make it more pliable and easier to work with.

Clay conditioning is easy just warm the clay with your hands by gently kneading. Then roll, stretch and thoroughly knead the clay to activate the plasticisers. This improves the flexibility of the clay and removes any air bubbles that may be trapped within. Properly condition clay will be smooth, flexible and free of cracks.
