Global Gloss Medium & Varnish 250ml

Global Gloss Medium & Varnish is a versatile medium for artists and an economical option for those new to painting. It's a concentrated glazing medium so can be mixed with paints or used as a final clear, protective, non-yellowing coating for paintings. It's also great for image transfer, decoupage and suitable for protecting other surfaces. Suitable for use on surfaces where high flexibility is required such as stretched canvas, Global Gloss Medium & Varnish when used as a can also be used on hardboards or firm surfaces like wood panels. 

When used as a gloss medium it provides a glazing effect, offering smoother flow and increasing the gloss and transparency of acrylic paints. Layer your mixed colours for a glazing effect or to provide a tinted effect. As acrylic dries fast you can also glaze several layers in one day, just be sure each coat is thoroughly dried before the next application to prevent clouding. To thin paints pre-mixi at 1:1 ratio with water. 

When used as a medium it's also suitable for decopague and also works well as an adhesive for collage techniques. 

Global Gloss Medium & Varnish is perfect for varnishing. Make sure your surface has been cleaned, is dry and free from dust or particles. Then apply the medium to the surface with a wide, flat nylon brush gliding over and back on the surface. Work quickly and gently, applying the varnish in a long brush stroke that covers the top and bottom. And move from one-side to the other side evenly coating the surface. Do not go back over ares that are finished and we recommend pouring your varnish into a clean container for application. It's not recommended to pour the varnish straight onto the canvas as you want to ensure a thin even coat on all areas. Once dry allow a minimum of 3 hours and up to 24 hours to recoat. Making sure to leave the canvas in a horizontal position in a dust free room with doors closed. The varnish can also be diluted with water for a more refined finish.

Do not use below 12°C ambient temperature. Clean all equipment with soap and water without delay.
